Frequently Asked Questions
-
We always suggest coming into the store to discuss your framing needs with one of our professional framers. We will help you design your custom frame by selecting the perfect color and style as well as discuss which glazing and archival material would work best for the project at hand. Once the selection is made, we will order the materials needed and craft the frame on-site.
-
Typical turnaround time for a custom piece is three weeks. However, shorter deadlines can be accommodated with a 20% rush fee. We always have black and white ready-made frames in standard sizes as well as an array of miscellaneous moulding styles available for retail in the store.
-
We can give a rough estimate of how much a project will cost based on the specs and style idea you provide via phone or email. We do not give solid quotations if we do not have the piece in the shop as every piece is different so there may be added elements a project needs that we cannot determine by phone or email.
-
We can dry-mount a piece up to 40”x60” on 4-ply, gatorboard, or foam-core. If your piece exceeds that size, we can arrange to have a trusted company we work closely with mount the piece safely. As far as printing, we do not offer printing. However, if you have the file, we can facilitate a printer we work with regularly print the photos and deliver them to the shop for framing.
-
We do not offer delivery but can arrange a courier for an additional fee.
What Our Customers Say
“Always a pleasure and high-quality work! I love this place, and it's a joy seeing my stuff in a new light once Bob has framed it!”

“We took a very challenging project to Bob that involved suspending a rice paper painting on a grid of dowels and magnets inside a frame. Bob was a fantastic problem solver, and iterated solutions in communication with us. Ultimately, he probably put in twice the work he quoted us for but he didn't try to revise his quote. Nice guy who communicates well. I highly recommend him for any complex jobs.”

“Went here this Saturday. I dropped a frame and broke the glass. Went to one frame place, charge was $63. Went here and Robert fixed it for $21. I asked when I could pick it up and he said if I could wait 10 mins, he'd have it done. So impressed, left in 10 minutes with the job completed. Robert could NOT have been any nicer!”

“Honestly, Bob is a genuine person which means more than most these days. Bob consulted, advised, and quoted my project reasonably. Good work isn't cheap, but this shop doesn't upsell because they need the money. Extremely happy with the work and I can't recommend this place enough.”
